Hate changing the clocks and the shorter evenings dark at 4pm in December!

I don't mind stopping the change but I'd stick with the way it was originally with winter time. Going to work, school in the dark is just too depressing and the evenings in summer are actually too long. It's unnecessary for any working people.

I would prefer longer evenings but that's just me. Heart attacks jump by about 25% apparently after the clocks change apparently according to neurologists. It affects the brain due to sleep patterns being off.

I hate driving after dark. Thinking back to when I used to commute home from work in the dark, on balance I would prefer a longer winter evening, than morning. I could always delay leaving in the morning until it was almost bright.

should be on wintertime/gmt all year. you need the light more in morning, it's more natural. the shift in the spring is bad for health too.

there's even an argument that we should be on utc-1, so back 2 hours, as we're so far west in the timezone.

I would go for a system of changing the clocks only once a year instead of twice

Bring back Dublin time. 25 minutes and 21 seconds after GMT.

Brits took that off us as well. 800 years wasn't enough. They had to steal those 25 minutes

If year-round UTC is good enough for Iceland, why not for us? They have to put up longer summer and shorter winter days than we do, doesn't seem to do them any harm

I much prefer the long summer evenings. Plenty of light to go for walks after work, get garden work done, and really enjoy a decent chunk of time after work, especially when the weather is nice.

What's the point of having bright mornings in winter when it's usually grey, freezing and p*ssing rain?

People saying "oh we cant be sending the children to school in the dark" why not? Sure its near dark at 4pm when they're on the way home.

Darker mornings, when heading to work, dropping kids to school, then longer brighter evenings when you can still get out and about if you wish to.

Far better than it feeling like nighttime from 4-5 pm every evening.

I'm never up early so bright mornings would be wasted on me… stick with summer time.

If you don't work and were a recluse you could add on an hour for yourself instead of taking it off and have longish evenings all winter. Lie in every morning because it would be dark on your own clock and no work to get up to. Nobody forces you to go by a certain time.

same here would prefer longer evenings. The winter evenings are horrible so dreary dark so early. The longer evenings would give a bit more light to get a walk in after work or just get out a bit more. Think it’s up for discussion again in EU so hopefully.

We should stick with Summer time i.e. longer evenings darker mornings

Everyone who wants brighter mornings and darker evenings is wrong.

    Very very wrong

Finishing work to darkness is waaay more depressing than driving to work in the dark.

The number of people who arrange social activities after work are way higher than the tiny fraction of strange people who arrange yoga or a social run before work
