Earthing plumbing pipes

    Hi,

A random but hopefully easy question. I had a rad moved in the bathroom and the copper pipes were earthed. This is obviously important but just wondering, does the connection need to be above floor level or can it be "hidden" under the floor boards? I can't see any reason why not but at the same time that it wasn't done that way originally suggests there is a reason for it

    Thanks
