Cost to replace rear fed power shower

    hey folks. I have a near 20 year old Triton AS2000XT rear fed power shower in our main bathroom. House full of teens so it gets heavy usage, minimum 2-3 showers a day

    I have noticed that it’s starting to make a grumbling / straining noise lately so I think it’s time to replace it.

    I plan to get the current version of the same model again so it’ll be a like for like replacement, so I’m hoping minimal fuss and a fairly straightforward swap out?

    Do I need an electrician or a plumber for this job, or both? And what might I expect to pay assuming there are no unexpected issues?

    Triton Novel SR is the current version.
    Cost is about €250.00, and I would say allow another €200 for installation. It may be a simple swop or more difficult depending on the original installation.

    I would suggest engaging a local plumber, although strictly speaking current legislation stipulates that any electrical work in a bathroom should only be carried out by a registered electrical contractor.
