    hello

I am 18 years old and currently in 6th Year, I am struggling with attending school, and I am more capable of studying everything needed for the Leaving Cert Curriculum at home, is it possible to do the leaving cert without attending school?, if so what is difference between attending school and not?, do you not get to do the orals or?

You register yourself as an external candidate. Make sure you are not also still entered by the school as the computer will go mad. You would be given a date and place to attend for your orals.

The problem you will have is any subject with project work, such as Art, History, Geography, Home Ec., Construction studies etc.. For those you need a teacher to sign off that it is your own work and if you haven't been in their classes that will be tricky.

The difference is attending school = tuition, not attending school = no tuition. LC is just an exam held in schools by SEC.

Projects requiring attendance is your only issue

It can be done, but there are reasons why so few people attempt it. Going into a set of exams without benefitting from the experience of teachers, many of whom have corrected exams and are wise to the many pitfalls, is a high-risk strategy. There's much more to doing well in exams than just knowing the material.

Yes,but much of the glorification involves things like knowing the way in which you are expected to present information, mastering the techniques involved in exams, etc.

Glory does not come easily! That's where teachers come in.
