New build insulation and drilling from exterior

Looking to install an EV charger in a timber frame new build. Have been warned re piercing insulation/drilling from interior to exterior-how is this typically done or is there best practice? I don't want to do anything that may compromise insulation layer but at the same time am obviously aware that there needs to be wiring etc brought from inside to outside.

any possibility of going out at eaves level? its a pain to be piercing the airtightness layers

Check where you already have protrusions to the exterior and you might be able to share an existing conduit.
