Skoda Octavia engine management light

    Hi the engine management light has come on my 2016 Škoda Octavia 1.6 diesel. Have a OBD reader. See pic below. Am I right in saying the glow plug in cylinder 1 is faulty and needs replacing. States circuit /open… I presume that the glow plug has gone open circuit and has completely failed.

    Yes, just replace that one, first one from the left, looking at the engine, clean around the existing one before removing, 12mm fits the hex, I used a old 10/12mm box spanner with a T bar, it should open very easily as its only tightened to 20NM torque, use just a very gentle nip up when replacing if no torque spanner, reset the OBD DTCs.

    What mileage is up?, my daughter's Tiguan had 96,000kms when I replaced No2 Glow Plug yesterday.

    it has 208000km

    My local mechanic replaced it for €50
