I know it's unorthodox to have a story about such a programme being taken off air in the current affairs forum but its presenter is a candidate in the general election that is about to take place.

I know that the show's title, which means 'Love on the Beach', is a pun on the short version of her first name.

Given that Gráinne used to present and RTÉ afternoon chat show as well as news programmes on TG4 and VMTV (when it was TV3), one would have thought that she would regard presenting a reality TV show as beneath her. So why would she have agreed to present it?
