I got an Ordinary Degree back in 2007 and at the time the college didn't offer the course. Design Communication as an Hon Degree. Many of my friends went on and did H. Dips but I wasn't in a position to. Now I'm ready to start studying again. Ideally I would love to get into Art Therapy but need to have a L.8 so my question is what's the best way to do this? There's just so much info out there I don't know where I slot in as it's been so long since I studied.

I'm really not sure why I have to keep repeating this—it's getting frustrating. Isn't there a way for you to remember or take note of what's already been said? It honestly feels like I'm going in circles here.

You could bridge your Ordinary Degree (Level 7) to an Honours Degree (Level 8) through an add-on/top-up programme in a related field like Design, Arts, or Humanities - many colleges offer one-year options. Once you have your L8, you can then apply for postgraduate Art Therapy training. Since it’s been a while, you might also consider Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) routes some institutions offer. Best step: contact universities offering Art Therapy and ask which L8 pathway they accept as a feeder.
