    I apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum for this query:

    Can someone please tell me for the purpose of qualifying for social housing if pension AVCs are included in Net Pay?

    i.e. 8000 euro in AVCs, Net Pay 25000 euros. is this Net Pay of 33000 or 25000 euro?

    Thank you.

    From the Social Housing Means policy;

    Net income means that income tax, Universal Social Charge, PRSI and Additional Superannuation Contribution (ASC) are deducted from the relevant assessable gross income.

    Thank you, but are ASCs only applicable to the Civil Service?

    Only public servants pay the ASC.

    Not to be confused with AVCs, which are different.
