    hi all,

Looking to buy a car and the dealer is offering 3 month warranty with 50000 miles on the clock!
is 3 months the standard as with previous cars I have bought it was 6 months to a year!

You have to take into account how its priced compared to other examples. It could be good value hense why it only has 3 months. Also consider if its an in house warranty vs a third party warranty. You may need to pay extra to get 6 months or 12 months.

To be fair it is one of the best priced around with the milage that’s up on it.

If its a third party warranty you might only have to pay €200 or so to upgrade to a 6 or 12 month warranty

Warranty on such a car is part of the negotiation, do get something in writing though for future reference if needed. Many dealers offer a third party warranty, but what it covers reduces with age of the car and vehicle milage.
