Hkc panel lid tamper fault

Hi

Had a battery error, battery needs replacing , I opened the alarm box to check the battery spec , closed , all working fine no issues , exception of the battery fault , was able to arm as normal

Ordered a new battery, like for like, killed the mains power, replaced battery , refit the alarm box panel , I have an error lid tamper fault , alarm will not arm

I tried disarming first , checked the alarm box again , tamper spring switch , all looks good

Only thing I did differently today was replace the battery

Any ideas ?

If you have someone with you.

Take off the lid, hold the spring and see if the lid tamper clears on the keypad.

If it does, it is the lid not closing the spring correctly.

Make sure you are not catching a cable when refitting the lid and its holding out the lid enough to stop the spring closing.

Thanks, the lid was not closing the spring correctly even though the lid is correctly aligned

Had to put some foam on the end for the lid to seat the spring correctly
