I saw a CE Scheme position advertised on Jobs Ireland, completing the "Register your Interest" form.

    Just wondering what happens next?

    Thank you.

I went in person and got a phone call to come in for an interview and they'll ask what job are you looking to do and what experience do you have, and will tick boxes from 1-5 on each thing they have listed. I currently work outside, so litter picking, cutting grass, cleaning the streets and doing loads of random other stuff for the community and other towns when they request help. You can work for 5 days in a row or part-time which is Monday - Wednesday and a Friday which is a half day. I was working 5 days in a row but switched to part-time as I recently started a job with Lidl so doing both at the moment. You'll still get 259.50 each Friday and from the start of next year it goes up to 12 euros extra

Since being with them, I've done a couple of courses like basic first aid, basic fire training, safe pass and other courses, I think you can request to do more or ones you want to do, but as I'm currently working 6 days a week sometimes I haven't really looked into it. Most the of course they put you down for you have to it depending on what work you do as it's all down to safety and making sure you don't end up hurting yourself or any of the public while working

Guess the next thing is they'll call you in for a casual chat/interview.

19.5 hours a week and you're still eligible for medical card/ fuel allowance etc. You're also free to work elsewhere on your days off.

They have a training budget for you which is great if there's any training you want to do.

Have friends that have done health care courses through them and now work as home helps, and others that have had driving lessons paid for.

    Would recommend if it's a position you'd enjoy. .

I'm not sure about Jobs Ireland, I applied for a CE scheme via Indeed. I was called down for a meeting with the supervisor a few days later, it was all very relaxed and informal. From the time I applied to the time I started working was about 3 weeks.
