So sad, I loved her - Sister Act is one of my favourite films ever and then who can forget the Dowager in Downton Abbey?! She was a legend - Rest in Peace, Maggie.

Oscar-winning actress Maggie Smith has died aged 89 (rte.ie)

The world has lost one of its finest and most accomplished actors today. Dame Maggie Smith was easily one of the most important and unique actors on the stage, on TV, in film and drama since the mid 20th century. She won an Oscar for her role in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie in 1969.

In particular, I will fondly remember her for her amazing role as Dowager Countess Violet Crawley in Downton Abbey.

Rest well, Maggie Smith. A total legend!🕯
