Ever regret taking a Half Measure instead of a Full Measure?

You don’t have to have watched Breaking Bad but some of you who have, may remember the episode where the ex police man tells the story of how he gives a wife beater a second chance. It ends with the lady in question being killed by the wife beater the next day.

There’s pros and cons to each option, but I think most people take the half measure because it’s most often the easier option.

I one drank a glass of Guinness rather than a pint and I regretted it. The head on a glass is much thinner and thus made the Guinness bitter. Never again.

If you take a half measure and then double it you can actually calculate the full measure!

"Gives a wife beater a second chance", I'm not sure I follow, was that a full or half measure?

It seems people don't seem to know how to do anything else but be sarcastic around here! Is it a passive aggressive way of saying that the thread is a poor idea? Or is it that people aren't introspective enough to realise where they made such mistakes? There's only been one genuine response here.

I think the half measure vs full measure thing is pretty relatable. Like, in that Breaking Bad ep, giving a wife beater a second chance is basically a half measure, right? It doesn't really fix anything.

I went half arsed at my leaving cert and done well. Kinda regret not giving it my all and seeing where it went. But I’m happy out where I’m at so doesn’t really matter now.
