Has anyone visited the Ventoux area and done some mountain biking? I'm there for 3 days in early October and hoping to explore a bit. I'm reading that there are 220km of trails but it's hard to find much by way of details. Thanks in advance

I'm just back from a week of road cycling around Ventoux and there is lots of MTB rides. Doesn't look super technical, mainly gravel and forest routes. Best bet is to go to the town of Bedoin at the base of Ventoux and ask in the bike shops or chat to other riders around there. I did notice that most MTB riders were on ebikes. Its as steep as you want to make it, with lots of gentle climbing and undulating routes… and then there's Ventoux :-)

Thanks - yeah we'd done a decent bit of research before arriving and ended up doing 2 of the marked trails. E-MTB was the only way to go considering how tough some of the climbs were and in the interest of saving our legs for the road climb :)

Routes 2 & 3 here were the ones we did in case anyone else comes looking for a steer further down the line…
