Wondering if anyone can advise regarding upgrading my engagement ring. I want it identical just a bigger carat weight. The jewellers in Galway I purchased it from have advised me they don't do upgrades. Does anyone know of a jeweller (preferably in the west but will travel if I have to) that would do this? As a very general point - the stone is the expensive part, not the ring itself, especially as you want a larger stone this time. You won't get nearly as much as was paid originally with a trade in either, so it's probably best to buy an entirely new one.
