Have you ever been there, they say the view from the beach is amazing when a plane flies overhead

Yes most here would know about it.

You'll find reference to it in the Aerosexual handbook on page 217, 2nd last paragraph.

Great place, beach bars on each side. Grab a cool beer and go full anorak!

Great place to visit for aviation enthusiast. Loved every minute spent there.

A personal favourite spot of my own for end of runway plane spotting, and far cheaper to visit for the average Paddy, is Arrecife Airport in Lanzarote.
If you park up on Avenida Playa Honda, you can access 2 beaches 1 at the apron approach (Playa Lima), with some of the approach lights in the sea.
You can literally float under planes, looking up at their bellies as they cross the boundary.
The other Beach (Play Guacimeta) is parallel to the runway and again with great plane spotting options. The 2nd beach is a favoured spot for nudists too.
I lived on the Island for a few years and many an hour was spent in the water at the 1st beach ;)

I was reminded of this post today as I was browsing Instagram. The following clip/photos of spotters at ACE popped up in my feed.

Knocked it off the bucket list as it was a stop on the honeymoon cruise. Great spot. 15 yrs ago now. KLM 747 Air france a340-300 I think and many a320s, 757's. The thrust from take off it crazy. #sandblasted.
