I almost titled this; 'How Long's A Bit Of String' 😒 Either way, it's clutching at straws, somewhat, I'll grant ye!

Anybody got one, please? Even had experience around one? Only ~ here's the bit we've all been waiting for! I'd like a decent idea of how Loud they are, please? Yeah! String.

Our phones might help? I'm clinically deaf, see? Ring me, I'll put ye on my phones loudspeaker ~ and have to press it right against my 'good' ear, and strain … and, maybe catch Half of what ye say! It's horrible. I'm pondering if this speaker might work?

Asking here because, well; Einhell. And they're marketed as like the DIYers companion 😐️

    Thanks.

@10-10-20 That's the kiddie! 😁 Cute aaf. Relatively cheap as chips. Most of all; I have a Deep, genuine need for 'this'. (Can't get to Dub, for ear cockles. Hearing's simply dreadful, and getting worse) Just trying to get a real persons idea of their output, in reality.

85dm Max, is it they say? " Max "? Dogs name? Most of us have worked in open rooms and spaces. Other people working around us. ('Construction', rather than working offices) Always some bugger has a paint spattered radio blaring. How do one of these things Really blare?

Bank's screwed up, see? Need to talk to them. Hours on hold, between trying to decipher scratchy whispers from my phone. Then not screaming in rage, at the Fourth innocent party I'm passed to? I Need a speaker!

Got an older modem X-Mini one here. Been badly stored for years. I can't hear it. Never could though 😐️ Mess with the jack and the static's clear though?! You tell me!

Someone's bound to pop up and tell me to 'Buy Amazon. Then, simply chuck it back, if it doesn't suit.'? Yeah. For under thirty quid? I'd chuck it Out. So much easier than an Amazon Return, from here 🙄

Just trying to get it right.

Ah, so if you need it for making calls then no, this isn't going to do it as it's not a telephony device - it won't connect for two-way conversations or calls - only for one-way audio like music. You'd need something with a microphone in it to take/make calls.

I do know that the Anker Soundcore 2 speaker though does support calls, as I have one here. It's not too much more than that Einhell either.

But I'd also like to add that you're maybe not considering going down this route currently, but there are quite a number of hearing aids out there now which support bluetooth and functions like that - some even support a function called ListenLive which allows you to use your phone as a microphone and cancel out external or background noise to a point.

    Maybe this helps!

Ok, @10-10-20 Read that earlier and, as is my way, went off to get on with my life as I mulled over it.

It won't work with a phone? It has a 3.5 jack hole. So does my phone. I see double ended, male jack leads exist. I thought ….? All I need from it is 'music', see? Music of someone's voice. Not a whisper from a hot phone. Yeah? I shout back on my phone. Sure.

I have few enough teeth. None, that I know of, are blue though. Seen taxi type people do it. Thing, like a hearing aid, behind their ear. Call comes in and the car's rocked with the sound of some stranger.

I thought I could pull that off, at my desk, see? Call happens? Plug. Talk to phone. Get some idiot blasting out of my new speaker at me. Alright; I was influenced by the fact it's there. And I have their batteries available.

That sort of leads us onto alternative speakers. Hearing aids and god knows. And, I sense we're pushing it already. Don't you? Is there a board where we all type at each other in Capitals? 😂

But, yeah. Btooth. Stereo (?!*). All that? Nah. I just need Loud. Oh, *In the left ear, please. Right one's completely shot. FUBAR.

Hey! I'm an old rat catcher, 10. Know what ye can hear, if ye hold a fresh caught rat, up to ye ear? 😁

If it's just music alone (and no calls) then yes, it's fine. You would be better off using bluetooth to connect, but the 3.5 jack would be fine too! If it's for calls, then definitely the Anker would be needed.

And, I sense we're pushing it already. Don't you? Is there a board where we all type at each other in Capitals?

Huh? I can't quite hear you.
