Coud anyone give me the correct configuration settings required in order to connect my preferred router to the Eir Modem ( carrying in the FTTH) to my location. ie VLan info—email address eg broadband @ or eir'@ etc —PPoe or Ipoe etc OR is there some way I can interrogate the eir router & get this info ? I havbe been in touch with Eir they have no objection to me installing my router but will not provide any help other than where to plug in the cable. Currently my Eir router is connected to the Eir modem via a short cat 6 ethernet cable to the lan port of the Eir from the Eir Modem on the wall—info much appreciated

You could try the instructions in the Mesh Wifi Forum here and try the following username and password

I don't know for sure if that will work but worth a try.

I'm using a TP-Link mesh unit as my Sky FTTH router for more than a year now without any issues.

I'm with Eir as well and I don't use their router.

In order my Asus router to work directly with Eir FTTH network I had to set Lan/IPTV setting as seen below.
