I wan to see two watches.

Is Chromo 24 the best site and method to sell?

    Any advice appreciated.

In case your curious selling a 6 months old Hamilton khaki Titanium and a ten months old Steinhart Heritage diver.

Have you joined any of the Irish watch collector or sales FB groups?

They'd be my 1st port of call along with adverts tbh. Mainly in the hope of avoiding both the commission & the high cost in sending insured that would come with a chrono sale on those watches.

I don't fancy selling on Facebook maybe I'm old fashioned i dont trust that.

I thought Chroo 24 would have access to a huge worldwide audience where adverts is small in comparison

You don't list on Facebook marketplace, you list directly in a group with other like-minded and mainly local watch folk.

    Examples are https://www.facebook.com/share/g/D52arD9JLWH6Fc9z/

Yes, Chrono24 does open your watch up to a large audience but, you then have to compete on price and insured delivery against folk who can and will price lower than you. If you can match the price that someone in EU can buy for locally? Can you also match the delivery fee? On a Steinhart that might fetch 350-400, are you going to cover an €80 shipping & insurance charge? If you were shopping for one, would you pay that kind of delivery charge, versus a cheaper supplier or even versus a new watch? Securus is very likely the only insurance option available if you don't have a biz account with a courier.

Adverts is small in comparison but, it's horses for courses. You can sell relatively locally and for cheaply via adverts & donedeal and achieve a price in excess of chrono24 and do so without fees.

Nothing to stop you listing the watch in Chrono and indeed it's a very good marketplace. The flip side of that marketplace is that unless you are selling something hard to obtain, that the broader market depresses the likely price you'll achieve. Selling locally on a low-mid range watch makes for a better price to you and a simpler sale.
