Autumn is back. Windy all week too from the NW so the 9.3mm of rain is going to get a top up.

This date last year Navan tipped 29.9C. Sryan had the readings from the station opposite Tara Mines . I'm still not sure how official this station is as regards location.

Farming commentary week ahead

Rainfall above average in the North and North west. Below average elsewhere, driest in the South and East.

Air temperatures 1c or 2c below average with a mean of 11c to 14c expected.

Wednesday cool and breezy. Heavy showers especially N with hail/thunder a possibility.

On a positive note GFS has very little rainfall for the south over the next day 10 days

Benalmadena…….Hope you enjoyed the weather Gonzo, because you'll notice the chill in the air when you arrive back. A distinct chill last night anyway.

A coolish start to today but dry. All is good however, in the process of drying clothes and packing clothes for a few weeks away in Tenerife tomorrow

Another beautiful sunny Autumn morning in Galway. September so far has been very dry after a very wet August.

Mace Head showing only 2.6mm on Day 9 (Average for month is 112mm). The week ahead looks decent too.

There was a heavy shower on the early evening alright, photo is a screen from digitally zoomed in phone camera video so it's very poor quality but you get the idea

Today and yesterday very cold windy and dark in Sligo. Light rain falling now.

OH put heating on for half an hour earlier.

Think that's first time in months.

No heating on yet but was cold last night. It was nice here most of the day but got dull and breezy turned late in the evening rain arrived out of no where was not expecting it until tomorrow. It has a real September feel to this week!

wow back to earth with a bang this evening!

After 3 days in Tuosist on the Beara peninsula and Sneem where the sun was splitting the stones and the hiking and swimming were sublime, I came back to an unexpected pleasant day here in the Killarney hinterland. Nice sunshine until 4pm, now its dark, breezy and very cool. What a difference a day or two makes! Time to get the logs in for the stove.

Today was fairly pleasant in Dublin up until 5pm or so. Partly cloudy and just over 17º. So bang on average temp wise for the time of year.

And Friday and Saturday were lovely. Took full advantage by going for a swim.

The next few days look chilly and fairly miserable. But hopefully we'll get one final blast of summer before the year is out.

Yeah apart from the wind today was decent enough in Dublin, just about warm enough for shorts and t-shirt for possibly the last time this year. Though currently ME show 17C for the weekend so we might get another few days yet hopefully

The 18th September to about the 24th look decent enough weatherwise. May get 20c again. Probably be pared down to 2 or 3 days by then but not gales like all this week will be.
