    HI everybody,

I'm looking for help and advice on a Hkc alarm. during the thunder and lighting storm we had 2 weeks ago, the lighting/thunder activated the alarm while we where still in house, as I went to disarmed the alarm the keypad was blank (no power) but there was power in the house. To make a long story short i disconnected the alarm from the mains as to stop the siren

After abit of investigating the next day I realized the keypad circuits were damaged.

I found a 2nd handed Hkc keypad (1070) online which was installed in 2005, my alarm (1070)grade 2 class II was installed in 2013, but when I wired it up, on the monitor it had "NO RKP COMM"

MY QUESTIONS IS, how can I fixed this???????????

Is the 2nd hand Hkc keypad not compatible to my system

Would the control panel be damaged aswell.

is there a reset switch on the control panel?

    Any help would be great.

    thanks
