That Szmodics looks a steal at 6m,either Nkunku or Rogers make way for him.

May have to have a conversation regarding one Kevin DeBruyne

Foden has to go. Simple as

    For KDB, Palmer, Mitoma.......

Bruno Fernandes will be very lucky to survive the week. Blanking against Fulham at home and Brighton away from an 8.5m player is not it for me and with Liverpool next week it could easily be another blank.

Nkunku I left on the bench this week (MGW started instead) and he's one I never felt quite right with with the rotation worries, but he has Palace at home next week who are already in trouble with Anderson and Olise gone and Guehi to go to (with his head turned already you'd assume), so depending on what happens with him tomorrow he could survive the week.

Very interested in Aston Villa players with their run of fixtures coming up - I'd ideally like to double up on them. Watkins and Bailey the two I'm looking at. Jarrod Bowen someone I want in too but probably after they play City.

Assume you’re aware Bruno was a Zirkzee screwup on the line away from an assist (and likely bonus) today after some huge chances last week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,602 ✭✭✭macraignil

Mykolenko my first player to be very close to a predicted drop in value after Everton's dismal start, so switched to Robinson who is predicted to be close to a rise and facing Ipswich in their next game. Might still play wildcard this week as like to go early with it but could hold out a bit longer if remaining GW2 players do well in tomorrows games.

Considering dumping Rogers? I have him and am really happy to own him, he’s looked very lively in the first few games.

If he can find some FPL form he’ll be a huge gift at just 5m.

Looking at Solanke to Havertz and Porro to a Villa defender. Not sure I'm brave enough to go for 4m Nedelijkovic even if Cash is injured.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,959 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Well if you wait til the transfer deadline, you’ll know if we sign somebody (RB would be the priority transfer target area). But he isn’t exactly a long term pick regardless. I think in a fixture list of Leicester, Everton, Ipswich it is much less likely that he flings Konsa out onto the right, with Carlos playing CB.

The only thing I'd be wary about playing the WC in this GW is that you have the first international break of the season coming up. And the close of the transfer window too. So if anything happens your players then, you'll be hamstrung by having already played your WC and (I'm assuming) no extra FTs.

Can your team hold out a week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,602 ✭✭✭macraignil

Triple Liverpool and Newcastle today will tell me a lot about what shape my team is in. Thanks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,420 ✭✭✭Invincible

    Wrong thread.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 295 ✭✭Bobby_Bolivia

Yet he returned 2 points twice over two quite easy fixtures. That Brighton team will have 5 or 6 knocked past them by competent teams this season the way they are setting up, it's absolutely ripe to be exploited. I was optimistic about United this season but that appalling return of 57 goals scored from last season looks likely to be repeated this season.

I'm sure Bruno will return at some point if I keep him indefinitely but at 8.5 million he's 1 million too expensive for me.

He will survive the week though as Hall and Nkunku are now definitely getting moved on.

Don't hate my team, don't love my team - a lot of players are firing well - i doubled up with TAA and VVD at the back and 2 CS in a row and with the fixtures they have it's hard to sell, but they are taking up a lot of funds.

Have no Chelsea players and their manager made some comment what wanting to play the same style each week - Palmer with 35% ownership is hard to ignore, but then Son/Saka/KdB/Gordon are hard to ignore.

Have Isak as 55% ownership is hard to not have him, but not sure if he's worth 8.5m, especially with so many other player returning atm.

Nkunku and Bruno/Isak on the chopping block. Get Palmer in and a 4.5 midfielder/forward means I'm going 433 for awhile.

Nkunku/Bruno to KDB/ESR looks more likely

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 929 ✭✭✭whatawaster81

I've already pulled the trigger on Nkunku to Madueke banking the .1. One more free transfer to decide on this week.

Barco 5th defender I'm not overly worried about, but looking at options in relation to Henderson, Isak and Eze. Palace have Chelsea next Sunday so think keeper is my priority.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Flaneur OBrien

Pulled the trigger on Quansah to Robinson and Szobolai to Madueke. Not missing that bandwagon!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,543 ✭✭✭basillarkin

watkins sharing alot of mins with duran and missed two sitters against arsenal but will stay loyal for the next 2 gws, isak on the block as it might allow me to upgrade to salah with a couple of tweaks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,416 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

It's hard to stay loyal to Watkins because of those misses, but the upcoming fixtures are hard to ignore. It's like Villa are just using these early games as his pre-season with him only getting 60 mins per game.

Isak at least has returned but his fixtures look tricky. Might be worth holding onto until the Wolves game if they continue to play with just 4 defenders.

I wonder are the Chelsea attack the real deal or not. 6 goals is attractive but Wolves are in trouble defensively and Chelsea scored 6 goals from an xG of 1.7. Wolves created an xG of 2.0 themselves

My team isn't in the worst shape. But Solanke fitness will confirm that or force me into a change. Might bank going into the international break.

    Nkunku to Bailey

    Is anyone this early?

He can return well when Villa get this easier run.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,849 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Barco and Nkunku out for Porro and ESR.

Don't normally transfer this early but didn't want to get caught with price rises

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,416 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

He went down injured in the first half this weekend. It looked like maybe a muscle injury and the commentator made reference to some known injury doubt from before KO but I could have heard that wrong at the time. He played the full 90 afterwards tbf, but worth looking into.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,712 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

That Larson guy for Wolves looked good today. He put two or three good balls across the 6 yard box and on another day could have had an assist to go with his goal.

Someone I'll be keeping an eye on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,698 ✭✭✭sheroman01

I've done one of the earliest, most boring transfers since I've started FPL - Mykolenko to Pau Torres! Felt there wasn't much between him and Konsa so went with Pau for a slight differential.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,352 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

My most pressing concern is Lewis Hall at 4.5 since he's either not nailed or lost his place. Nothing in the bank.

Robinson out of range but not overly mad on him, Villa's Pau Torres or Konsa maybe but not exactly too exciting. Decent fixtures coming up - lei, EVE, WOL, ips, MUN, ful.

Can't trust United defenders so rules out Martinez, Mazraoui -Dunk?

    Anyone else I'm missing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,469 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Going to give Nkunku another week (and may bench him for Morgan)

Pickford out this week, they look absolutely awful right now and no way worth the .5 premium over a lot of GK's. Going to get Sanchez in - Bigget name of the 4.5's ad hopefully Chelsea can tighten up a bit during their "green" run

If I had taken out Nkunku last night before price drop, it would have been - 4,as had already done Robinson in for Mykolenko before his price drop. PP have already paid out on Everton relegation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,072 ✭✭✭Officer999

Debating about taking a -4 to get rid of Bruno and Kudus. Looking at Palmer and Rodgers.
Hate taking hits but really don’t think Bruno and Kudus will return anything again this weekend

Worth remembering the transfer window closes Friday evening, could scupper plans of those who transfer early

There are also midweek EFL and european games, potential injuries.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Flaneur OBrien

Honestly, at this stage of the year I think a 4 point hit is better than a .1 decrease in a player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,420 ✭✭✭Invincible

    Crystal Palace to sign Nketiah

Cancelo gone to Saudi club for 21m

In a game where you can now play up to FTs in one go without a hit, I think hits are more damaging myself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,956 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

what price do you think he’ll come into the Saudi FF league?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,352 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

Looking at 2 options this week as Lewis Hall is a problem.

Bank the transfer giving me 3 transfers after the WC and look at getting Salah in. I can play Johnson for Ipswich and bench Hall.

Or transfer out Hall and get in a Villa DF. I like Villa's fixtures, not totally convinced they keep a CS given they're conceded in both games this season and Leicester have scored in both games this season.

Have stuck up a WC team in WC thread if anyone has a second to look over it 🙂

2FT ... Worth it to do Gordon > Palmer and Isak > J. Pedro?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,420 ✭✭✭Invincible

No, cause they're all starters. Different if tlyou had Nkunku and another imo. Isak set up goal for in game last night 20 seconds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭fplfan12345

Hard to sell them before the Spurs game at home. You’d expect goals galore.

If you’re being priced out of it then yes, medium term, it looks the better option.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 391 ✭✭Med101007

What’s the status of Solankes injury? Currently on 25%, does that mean there’s a high possibility he will feature on Sunday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Flaneur OBrien

    I think he's out out.

    Confirmed

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Postecoglou said: ‘Dom is close but we’re going to be a bit cautious with him, we’ve got a big programme post the international break, so he’ll miss out on Sunday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 391 ✭✭Med101007

Yeah he’s defo out so. What’s the best alternative to Solanke? Currently have Haaland & Isak and my midfield isn’t that great so I need a reliable forward in the starting 11.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Flaneur OBrien

Wood night be a good shout this weekend? Wolves don't seem up to much this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 391 ✭✭Med101007

Who’s the best defender for the foreseeable future at around 4.5m / 5m?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,685 Mod ✭✭✭✭F1ngers

Who do you have, so we don't waste our time suggesting gk/def combos.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 391 ✭✭Med101007

My defence is embarrassing bad at the moment, currently I have:

Gvardial, Porro, Quansah, Harwood-Bellis and Johnson (my two gk’s are Henderson & Fabianski)

Any help with that lot would be greatly appreciated.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Flaneur OBrien

1 free transfer? No money in the bank?

Only move I can see is Faes in for Quansah

If you have a spare .1, I'd get in Aina for Quansah
