All I'm looking for is car crash gold. KT et al are too boring to listen to.

So, basically, she is on LL talking about something that never happened.

She’s hard to listen to. I’m screening her out rather than being able to listen to her

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,644 ✭✭✭johnbarrett35

    God, she's very irritating!!

Has he altered his vocal cords? AI Joe?

Sounds like Joe hasn’t been well. Sounds like he’s recovering from something like the flu or laryngitis.

They have a huge back catalogue and are playing different sets each night (you don’t often get that).

I’m not even a casual fan but have seen them a few times in the US and Europe (but never here in Ireland) and they put on an incredible show to be fair. These concerts will also be staged “in the round” - if you look on YouTube you’ll see the stage placement for these shows and it’s very different and more intimate than a typical stadium set up.

I’ll go to at least one of the gigs, and possibly both if I can get tickets for them. The pricing for a band like this is pretty fair tbh considering what I’ve paid in other countries to see them and allowing for Irish pricing/gouging.

Yes, he definitely sounds like he's getting over something.

Christ even Joe is finding this hard going by the sounds of it. Would he not consider the”Bad Line” escape?

She is gutted...chance of a claim slipping away from her...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,247 ✭✭✭✭Arghus

Joe just not feeling this one.

I think Joe should have taken more time off. He doesn’t sound like he’s fully better. He seems low in energy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,644 ✭✭✭johnbarrett35

Joe, is making this far worse than it actually is.

You like Huey Lewis and the News? Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism... that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Huey released this -- Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip To Be Square." The song's so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about... the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends. It's also a personal statement about the band itself.

Any surgeon listening won’t be going near this lady’s kid. Could you imagine dealing with her

I'd say this women would wreck the doctors and nurses heads.

A very tough job at the best of times.

Surely there will have to be massive compensation for all of this, also I assume if you have a hip replaced in your childhood as you get older it will need to be replaced again as your body develops and bone mass changes.

Let's see if Joe comes back after the first break. He takes that much time off, you wouldn't know.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,572 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

It definitely will, but the lady with the English accent just wanted to join in complaining, her child's surgery was needed by what they were saying.
