My other half is going through chemo well just about done thankfully, there are transfers that actually look pretty good! Also if you have some hair you can get a pencil thing for it. Also he got a hair piece, HSE cover the cost of it. Real human hair, you even have to shampoo it.

I know cancer is a terrible journey and a terrible story for everyone who has it and is touched by it.

But do we really need these stories which are very personal to be aired nationally? It's such a common theme and a common story and then yes we are told we are "brave" and Katie sighs and pauses and it goes on and on.

Every 2nd person has this story in life. I lost my own 5 year daughter to cancer but really don't want to hear stories about cancer over and over again. We are all touched by it, we are not special. Everyone gets something. It's called life. (sorry I know that sounds tough, but life is tough)

Oul lad dragged us up to Sligo when we were younger. Passes for the choo-choo etc

Went to Sligo once......didn't even get a nice Intercity with the sliding doors......some sh1theap one step up from steam.

We spend 30mins there before even me oul lad called time. Back to the station.

I don't disagree.

I will say my other half has put some stories on social media about what is actually involved in his treatment etc. But that is with people who are choosing to engage in that kind of content, it doesn't need to be on so many radio or TV programmes on RTE.

I am also really sorry to hear about your daughter.
