"There's a saying, 'a good dog is worth 10 people on the farm'."

    What's a bad dog worth? 40 people?

Thats why he mentioned sheep dogs are very smart! He want's to register the dogs for the junior infants intake at Clonbur national school.

I haven't listened fully, as I find the topic boring, but I haven't heard Collum ask any of these advertisers how much they charge for a haircut.

But he had no hesitation asking about the prices of the sheep dogs earlier.

Imagining he’s interviewing a home visit dominatrix makes this more fun!

That's because they've asked not to be asked about cost, because they make it up as they go, and plus Revenue are listening.

    Awful rubbish

A thing isn't what it says it is.

A thing is what it does.

    Terrible radio.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,338 ✭✭✭✭2smiggy

it will have to be easier in the long term getting the children used to the barber shop. Else you will be forking out €100's a year per child just on haircuts

First caller could not even pronounce SEAI. After 20 minutes of describing his issue, Collum was happy to just close the topic with no sign of a solution, or advice. No spokesperson from the SEAI either, not even a statement to read out.

Then the mystery of why no-one wants to move to Clonbur despite the caller admitting it is an hours drive to anywhere, and planning permission can be tricky for outsiders.

I enjoy watching One Man and his Dog, so under almost any other presenter, that could have been an interesting topic. Unfortunately, the first "caller", did not have a personality for radio. He was almost the embodiment of Fr Stone.

Then on to self promotion of people who do mobile hair dressing for difficult children. By which time I'd had enough.

Tbf to the guy from near Clonbur, it is a really nice part of the country and, you kind of are not that far from anywhere, I knew what he meant by that. I'd be delighted to live there myself!

I was born near Barna so I know the general area. It is a beautiful area, especially in this kind of weather. A look on daft there is 1 house for rent there at the moment. 4 bedrooms for 1500 in a gorgeous house. Thats less than my 2 bed apartment in the midlands!
