    Wow! No such thing as decent price accommodation anymore, even salthill is €600.00 for 2 nights B&B Sat/Sun nights

    Anyone recommend nice hotels in the area that don't cost an arm and two legs?

    Yeah Irish are pushed out of a lot of summer "staycation" options now with travel flowing again and big numbers of American visiting with fat wallets.

    It's a pity as we kept a lot of hotels alive through Covid and it's a great country to explore. More environmental friendly than flying around Europe too.

    was looking at hotel prices for October, admittedly Friday to Sunday however €500 for the Hyde(ex Forster Court) and Eyre Square Hotel is madness

    Paid 410 for the weekend before the Arts festival in Swuite.

    Kicked out at 10.00 am. No breakie in that price and simply student accommodation doubling up as a hotel.

    Dont recommend.

    …oh and no room cleaning while you stay
