Interested in buying a Skoda Octavia but has 60,000 km.Does this seem high after 2 years with one owner.

No, not for a diesel which I presume it is, was probably a car for a sales rep or someone that drives for work so more than likely genuine easy motorway miles.

Not if its a diesel. Its not a taxi ? Does it have FSH ?

Yes it's diesel and with a well known garage so presume FSH.Should there be room to negotiate price down given higher millage.

Most dealers price at market price as they don't want to be sitting on car forever ..its by no means high mileage so will sell easily

Personally would prefer a diesel with milage than one with low milage that was driving around urban area on short runs.

You should also consider the expected milage you will do yourself.

    What sort of miney?

I paid 26k for 201 1.6d octavia 2 years ago with 20k off main dealer but prices have increased

That's just under 19k miles per year in old money. Wouldn't consider it high mileage for a diesel car.

    28k for 202 Octavia 2L.

isn’t that 4 years old and not 2 though?

    is it 222 or 202? I’m guessing 222 if it’s €28k

it’s a bit on the high side per year, but it’s still not a lot of mileage.

    Think I'd prefer Bazz's option

OP, have you looked at what is said about them on Briskoda ?

I put about 450,000km on a Superb 1.6TDI over 10 years. Clutch went after about 350,000km but other than that it was as reliable as the day I picked it up. It was serviced on the button.

Over 400,000k on a from new Skoda 2012 1.6TDI on the same clutch. Sorry to see it go but I didn't need it as I've retired.

if you’re buying a new one, note there is a 2024 facelift model on them.
