Just got fit into the Ping G430 Max 10k Driver. The face is very shallow compared to my old stealth driver. Does anyone know the correct tee height for owners of these. I tried the old 2 3/4 inch tees but launch too high and wondering what way do others tee the height for this driver

Be interested in your stats around this. How did it compare to your gamer (if you are happy to share) ?

In the fitting it was more stable than the stealth and dispersion was much tighter on trackman with 8mph extra ball speed with no swing changes and 15 yards more carry. Took it to the course and played around with tee heights and will take some guess work as I used to tee the stealth high for a centre contact but the face of the 10k is much more shallow so i presume it would be teed much lower. I tried the high tee height and launches very high but reduced carry to what im used to seeing

Wow 8mph ball speed is not to be sniffed at

In the fitting were you hitting off rubber tees on a mat ?

If so would it be worth talking to the fitter to get a tee height off that ?

How did spin numbers compare ?

Would you not just get out on a grass range and play around with tee heights till you find one that fits for your swing.

Advise from someone on here maybe is no help, as they could be delivering 2° up whereas you're delivering 2° down, for example.

I know that traditional advise was always, you should be able to see the top half of the ball above the top of the driver face at address

Would you not go with the Tee height you were using in the fitting? Put a tee up to it next time your passing the place or ring the Pro that fit you. As Space said everyone is different. Lads I play with Tee it lower than me and hit if same height if not higher. But Teeing it low doesnt work for me..

Unfortunately your going to have to test this out yourself on the range with maybe dry shampoo spray on face. This will affect spin though but ur only looking at face contact.

The 10K is a unique club that Ping did a great job on fitting between the Max and LST. Consensus is its spins lower and launches higher than the Max. Askgolfnut does the best reviews online and did a comprehensive one on the 10K.

In terms of robot testing the 10k shines low on the face with very little jump in spin so some feel that may suit people with more level angle of attack. Personally I am getting better results trying to feel like im hitting more level.

Unfortunately one fitting just isnt enough to be sure, can take weeks of trial and error even after a fitting.

Thanks all I have a can of strike spray so a few sessions on the grass range is needed.
