Solar thermal

    Hi all,

I have solar thermal and its really come to my notice that careful tweaking makes a huge difference to value. Suring sunny spells I cant get by with never switching on my supplementary hot water but I do need it if I have two summer days of rain. I can leave the water heating on for say 30 mins a day to avoid the risk of cold water during bad weather but then I will consume gas unnecessarily during fine weather. this tweaking is labour intensive but it could save 1- 0. 3 kwh a day. It is labour intensive and seems ideal for automation. I have Climtoe controller. I was thinking if I could set up home assistant to turn off the hot water when my Aqara senses high pressure. has anyone done this? All the attention seems to be solar PV these days so doesn't seem to be a low of people working on it.
