I Know of a girl who does this on the West. She's happy enough. It's self employed work. She works off 3 rates beef, sheep and both. They give you the rates. She finds if flexible to work around her own life. It won't bring ya big money but a nice top up. Depending on the price of diesel as you have to cover that from what I'm told. Hope this helps. Someone who is doing it might be able to reach out and clarify

Did it for a couple of months between jobs about 10 years ago, it was €50 for a single enterprise inspection and €65 I think for dual enterprise. It would have to be triple that now for me to either consider it, it's pure hardship from the farmers setting up the inspections and more hardship from the company when you submit your work. And you used to have to be self employed as well.

Is this her full time job? How long is she currently at it?

That’s piss poor really isn’t it. Would you get through 3 inspections a day? If so I’ll assume they’d take up 8 hours handy

Ya it is. She works it around the kids. It suits what she needs. About 2 years at it. Rates quoted to me were around 75e for mixed and around 70e for the sheep/beef. Could be changed now. Average is around 3 per day. They try and get local enough to each other. But she covers a good bit of ground. Could be an hour or more either way from her house. Goes out does the inspection and uploads. Does a bit on computer work in the evenings also.

I was told by an auditor that I knew from a previous job that the money was in the dairy audits, you'd want 2/3 beef audits side by side to make it pay....that would be 2018

He flew through it & then drank tea for an hour as he said they monitor how long you are on site

It was OK he said, he was between jobs & it suited at the time.

As mentioned above the price of fuel has taken the gloss off it I'd say
