can I ask OOM’s ? As we had up to 5 locations is that just a general OOM until you interview ? I got 291 so don’t know whether that’s shocking or good 🤣🤣🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7 FlowerGarden1

I got OOM within 1-30, I assume that's overall? Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61 ✭✭Inmate2020

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4 Babog12

My OOM is 500 to 530. Hopefully better luck next time as doubt I hear on this panel. First time ever to attempt

When are the interviews taking place? I got OOM 267

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 Freddy123

I am in the old 2022 panel and no.2 for the location I want. I wonder when it will close.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6 swift24

Interviews are starting next Wednesday. I think the old panel is staying open until the new panel is formed. Seems to be moving quite fast.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4 Babog12

Freddy123 Can I ask your OOM from stage 1 2022? Some said I will get interview and others said maybe not.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 Freddy123

I can’t remember what my overal OOM was but I was in tranche 3. Which would have been 200-300

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3 m.mccarthy4780

anyone any idea of the layout of the interview? How much time for each competency ect.

    Thanks a mill

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 130 ✭✭daffodill50

Perhaps I'm missing the point, but does the OOM been given out already remain now regardless of how well you perform at interview, I.e can someone interviewed who got OOM 101+ end up out ranking me who was in the 1-100, or is it a case now of just passing the interview?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 804 ✭✭✭jkmanc1974

not sure but have interview tomorrow so will update, can imagine it being roughly minutes each, 45 minute time slot allocated

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6 swift24

    How did your interview go?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 804 ✭✭✭jkmanc1974

interview lasted 35 mins, purely based on the CS competencies and referenced a lot from the application form - now the waiting game begins ha

Interview stuck very close to competencies and your application, they asked some qs about how as a people manager would you handle difficult staff/scenarios etc. Interviewers were very friendly and encouraging.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26 Abacus234

I've done my interview and as said above it was just the competencies and they referred alot to the application form. Does anyone have any idea of when the interview results will come out?

Finishing up the first batch this week as far as I know so likely 2/3 weeks I'd say. They seem to be fairly motoring with the competition given the speed the first tranche got called in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61 ✭✭Inmate2020

the speed of this sounds super .

think the first tranche of 100 interviews were due to be completed by the end of this week - would imagine most of the positions available will be Dublin based

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 53,833 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Well I suppose that also depends on the areas the top 100 selected.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3 DecemberUnicorn

Hi, my OOM is in the 350-400 bracket. Does anyone know if it's likely I would be called before the panel expires in 2 years or have any experience of these applications as I'm new to all this. Thanks in advance!

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 53,833 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

    You'll probably be in tranche 4 I'd imagine if called, 1-100 got called first then presumably tranche 2 will be 101 - 200, tranche 3 201 - 300, etc...

Assuming they don't reduce the numbers in each tranche.

As for whether you'll be called it'll depend on the amount of positions over the two years and the ability to fill them I guess. If it's Dublin you'd have some chance alright I suspect, less so for other areas tbh.

@necro thanks for that. Dont hold out much hope so.

Has anyone on here been on an open plan previously and know how far they got on OOM?

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 53,833 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Got my interview results today. Failed on two competencies so that's that, best of luck to all those successful!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 804 ✭✭✭jkmanc1974

sorry to hear that - waiting on results still here - will prob pick them up Tuesday if sent to welfare.ie mail address

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 130 ✭✭daffodill50

That was so quick! Sorry to hear Necro, hopefully you get better luck in the Open/Inter if you applied.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26 Abacus234

Congratulations to everyone who passed and commiserations to those who were unsuccessful. Hopefully the feedback will be beneficial. I placed overall OOM 1-5. I know the email says that you won't be able to get a breakdown of your individual locations until after September 2nd. Does this mean that no one will be placed from the panel until after this date?

nearly sure that I saw a circular saying it will be early Sept before location breakdown is available - congrats on high position - amazing how interviews make a difference as dropped 15 places in OOM(still top 30)

Now a long wait as not many EO vacancies available in either of my preferred locations(Tipp) - now for the Open competition!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26 Abacus234

Obviously no one will be placed until after that date? I'm looking for forward to not having an hour and a half journey each way 🤣🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,258 ✭✭✭✭Losty Dublin

    I got my result today….

Passed the interview! Roll on September and some idea of when my bun fight will be 😂

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6 swift24

Could we get an offer before September now that the old panel is closed?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26 Abacus234

I emailed HR last week asking if offers could be made before September and they told me that offers would begin to made once the existing panel closed. My HEO just started recently and they said that they got an offer before they had an individual breakdown of locations so I assume the same could happen to us.

will be interesting to find out as cannot email ref OOM for locations until after the 2nd September - anyone know if you will be assigned a department within the location offer(eg CWS in Kilkenny/Waterford)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26 Abacus234

I assume when you get an offer you will be told exactly what the job is within the location. We might end up working together! Kilkenny is one of my preferences.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26 Abacus234

Got my offer today and accepted it too! Absolutely chuffed!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 804 ✭✭✭jkmanc1974

congrats - on leave this week but hopefully will get offers when back in work next Monday - not in a mad rush to leave the department that am in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1 JH8989

Congrats on your offer @Abacus234! Can I ask what place you were on the panel please? Thank you :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26 Abacus234

Thanks, I was number 1 for Carlow, Kilkenny and Newbridge. I accepted a role in Newbridge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 130 ✭✭daffodill50

I thought the breakdown by county wasn't available for a few weeks yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26 Abacus234

When I got my offer I was given the breakdown for other counties too. I didn't request them they were just included in the email.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 804 ✭✭✭jkmanc1974

you can email them for your OOM from next Monday - good to know though that if getting an offer it will include the other locations

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2 thehallofvalhalla

Got my places this morning anyway. Anyone have any idea how quick or slow things move in waterford and wexford?
