Has anyone bought the new Google's Find My Device tags?

Eir and gomibo.ie seem to have them in stock now.

I have a OnePlus phone and was prompted to enable Google's Find My Device. I changed it from the default to "With network in all areas"

On Reddit, the reviews aren't looking good. I'm wondering is it any better in Ireland?

I was in the exact same situation.

I ended up switching to Samsung.

I would have been buying a new phone at Christmas so I decided to switch earlier than planned.

The Samsung tags have worked great and the Samsung phone I got is on another planet compared to my old OnePlus 9pro.

If U don't fancy a new phone, might U consider an old used Samsung or even a tablet just to track your stuff.

I have the tags on vehicles and it gives a 7 day history of their movements.

Also available on Amazon, I've seen reviews of them not being as great as the apple equivalent but Google are in their infancy in fairness

Perhaps start a new thread to discuss the Samsung version rather than the derail strategy?

I have one. I recently bought 3 trackers for my bicycle, a chipolo, tile and Samsung tag.

Chipolo does not work as it should, it only works when in range of my Bluetooth, other devices can't pick it up. I park my bicycle by a hospital entrance where there is always people passing and its never once been located when i check.

Samsung tag works really well, its on par with the airtag for tracking ability, plus it rings which is a bonus.

Tile tracker works fine as advertised, but its really only for locating nearby items as it with your Bluetooth. Other people need to have downloaded the tile app for it to be trackable.

Overall i felt let down by the chipolo as i thought it would be compatible across a broader range of devices as currently in Ireland Samsung phones are approx 30% of the market and iPhone 35% and I was under the impression that the chipolo would cover the majority with its specs. I feel like its a bit of a sales puff.
