Who would buy him seeing as he's constantly injured? Easy to say sell him but not as easy to do unfortunately.

I’m sure there is a way, club can’t be keeping him on a high salary for when he undoubtedly will get injured again. Maybe sell him and the new club can give him a pay as you play contract

Why would Shaw agree to that? I know I wouldn't.

Ok, the club should just do **** all till 2027 on the hefty wages he is on.

4 players in the door before the season starts. Decent stuff. Ugarte next?

    interesting Mazraoui's jersey was blank.

Wonder do they expect Lindelöf to be gone by Saturday to free up #2?

I think that's all but guaranteed at this stage. Just a matter of when and if we can offload McT to fund it.

Wonder of hed be interested in playing in Switzerland.

Kadioglu off to Brighton. Was unlikely we'd still be in for him after Mazraoui but we can safely rule it out now.

Praying he doesn't break his wrist signing that contract! 😬

I think Ugarte will be the next signing aswell. Decent summer of business if it is. Also need to get rid of 3-4 before the deadline i.e. SMcT, Casimero, Lindelof or Maguire, and Sancho. Perhaps Eriksen aswell. Doubt we will have any takers for Antony.

He should head to one of the Spanish or Italian teams that seem to those super solider programs.

Shaw is reported to be on 150k a week. Lucky to get half a season out of him.

Till his contract runs out that over 22ish million wasted on wages, for a player that is never available, had worse injury record than Martial, seemingly fit for euros but not for the club.

He's a medical staff's wet dream with the amount of overtime they be getting working with this guy.

Shaw injury is a body blow and a bad look for him given he missed the so many games last season.

I'm not a fan of Martinez at left full as he will get exposed for pace. Dalot or Mazraoui on Friday preferably.

Casemiro won't be sold, I don't think there is any hope Lindelof or Maguire either. There hasn't been a sniff of anyone looking at them and after last year I can't see the club leaving themselves short, particularly in defense. McTominay and Sancho the only likely outs I reckon.

I'm not a fan of Martinez at LB because he's our best CB and vital to how Erik wants to play the ball out. Moving him there is lunacy, especially with Amass available for a couple of games at least.

I am absolutely chuffed at the business that has been done this summer and we are still not finished by the looks of it.The one thing that is off in the distance that I can't shake is can Ten Hag manage them all and turn the team into a cohesive unit. There were some good spells in the Charity Shield of one touch attacking football which got me thinking is Ten Hag getting the worm to turn.Anyway...looking forward to this season no matter what happens.

What's interesting about this seasons signings is that they are all players that can not only play under Erik but also the likes of a Nagelsmann, who I think the club will be lining up if this season turns to dirt.

Interesting way of looking at it.Never thought of that.

Never get excited about buying players from Juve, Bayern, Real Madrid, Dortmund, Chelsea...we have been well burnt over the years buying their sell offs, they tend to have a very good reason to offload.

The new recruitment team have done very well so far…….pathetic that Shaw is injured yet again.

Links to Marcos Alonso tonight, released by Barca. 33 years young and too attacking for my liking,he would leave our CB’s exposed far too much for my liking.

Not that many experienced LB’s…..…who have experience in the PL available this Summer,so if he was signed on loan on the cheap, could be an option for the Season.Would be a more capable player than Reguilon was.

Unfortunately the Shaw injury means we have to get a proper LB in before the end of the Window. Can’t afford to just play Mazraoia there because then we are only an injury to Dalot or Mazraoia away from serious bother.Licha doesn’t suit LB because he would be exposed for recovery pace,as seen while playing there in Charity Shield.

That's the way it should be tbh. Rather than the last regimes approach of picking wildly differing managers and their type of players, a club style of play should be agreed and the players / manager should fit that ethos.

I know I keep harping on about it but what ineos have done / are attempting to do is even better than I'd hoped. If / when we get a midfielder or 2 then we will have a really good squad with an average age of around 25. There will be alot of pressure on both the manager and players to deliver this season.

Now that we might and hopefully have a solid defence, Casimero might play like the player of old and we don't need a new DM or am I clutching at straws?

Well we'll see, certainly haven't signed any world class players, a few prospects & 2 players deemed not good enough for Bayern.

I think he is going to have a better season this year with better players around him. I think they still go for another midfielder though. We need to be able to rotate the squad and not see a big drop off.

If McTominay is sold and Ugarte comes in I can see Casemiro pushing up the pitch a bit. The only other signing coming in then would be a free agent or cheap LB coming in. I'd say the new board are already at their wits end with Shaw and will want him replaced as soon as they get the opportunity. Probably next summer with someone more permanent.

Jesus christ talk about taking a negative view of things.

Zirkzee was Serie A Young Player of the Season

Yoro is one of the highest rated and most sought after players of his generation/age

Classing MDL & Mazraoui as deemed not good enough for Bayern is such a ridiculous way of looking at it. MDL at 24 is coming into his prime with 5 years of experience at Juve & Bayern. The reasons he left those clubs has nothing to do with his quality. But this has been explained multiple times already and yet keeps being brought back up.

The misery some people feel no matter what is happening with regards Utd is insane to me. Always looking for the worst possible outcome and shaping their views around that.

The season begins in two days! We've improved our squad, gutted our coaching staff, work is being done on bringing the training ground up to standard. We've an extremely exciting, youth filled squad and we are still being linked and will move for midfield reinforcements. But yea fcuk it it's only some prospects and 2 Bayern rejects so why bother looking forward to the season
