We'd have lost that game brutally last season. Probably 4 to 1. Should have won but its like night and day compared to last year. Lovely finish by Amad. Keep this unbeaten run going now.

Watching back the goals especially the 2nd awful goals to conceede and outside of that they didn't create much

Shay given is also the worst analysis ever talking about the champions league handballs and premier league ones which are reffed differently, he is also the most boring man even when he tries be controversial just awful

Looks like he's on Ruben's list as well now. Can't expect them to play well if they never play.

Amorim had no interest in using Zirkzee coming into the season. He's barely got a kick of the ball. They should have sold him in the summer, got their money back, and tried to bring in a more suitable back up striker. They need more options

sesko was very poor today. cunha very lackadaisical on the ball also

The corner being a talking point is nonsense we had two not given and they had one they shouldn't have got

4 games unbeaten, 3 teams we dropped points to last season is a positive in my book.

Overall we didn’t do enough & certain players didn’t perform at all there.

Take the draw though - could have been worse but could have won it late with Amad.

    Roll on Spurs

Not disaster but little frustrating must admit.

    Sesko was brutal

I'd call that a good point with a disappointing performance. Anyone talking about Forests current league position is just looking to moan, they'll likely finish not far from where we do in the league this season. The Forest CBs were the best pairing in the league last year and were back to their best today because the manager played to their strengths.

Anyway a point away to forest is decent. Next up Spurs away which will also be tough as Frank will likely set them up similarly to Forest today. Things very much improving despite the noise

2 awful goals to concede, we look better IMO and could have won it. a point is good when you consider its Dyche first PL game at home, fans right behind them & Dyche can coach a solid team.

Onto Spurs next week and go again. If we are in top 8 by NYE then its a massive improvement on last year

Second half Sesko was absolutely awful.

    He was poor first half.

Energy in the second half surprised me. Slow pace to our game and the opposition didn't cause that.

Id love to know why he didn't make more subs though strangenone from me could have brought on any amount of players for a number of reasons

Didn't get to see it but when you're trying to build momentum and some confidence, any game you don't lose helps, even if it's a bad draw.

Sounds like the frustrations from today were there for all to see anyway. Amad is going to get found out at RWB a fair bit, and we're going to struggle with attacking options at times.

it's worrying. we knew forest would come out like a bat out of hell.

we just needed to control the ball, slow it down, take out the sting. its like we came out winning 3-0.

instead we conceded on 48 and 50. very poor from the players, maybe the manager

for me in the summer, CM - LWB - CM - RWB would be my priority.

the wing back position aint even that specialised. all you need is a good full back with a good engine. i'd rather that than a converted inside forward, cos i think there is more overlap with a fullback rather than an inside forward.

nuno mendes for example has never played LWB but we all know he would be great there. same for alphonso davies.

can anyone think of an inside forward that would be an ideal WB?

You would hope that Amorin will now use the squad available and start dropping the players that didn't perform today. There is enough depth now to bang home the point that sub-standard form will no longer be tolerated.

Probably no harm to stop us getting ahead of ourselves and remind everyone that the hard work and intensity is needed every game

Decent result and some good learnings to be taken - Forest will be comfortably mid table by end of season. 18th is not a reflection of their capability as others have said

For sure, he’s an upgrade on Hojlund no doubt. But that’s a low bar.

He’s still absolutely miles off what’s needed for that role currently. If he plays like he did today (and in most games this season tbh), we will struggle to win games with consistency. We’re currently a far far better team with Mount or Cunha as a false 9.

Shame we didn’t learn from the Hojlund disaster. Absolute madness to have one no9 in the squad and for it to be a relatively unproven player in his early 20s.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,262 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

I would substitute CF for LWB there. It'd be nice to have 2 proper strikers at the club again. Pretty bad when the likes of Forrest have more options than us there.

i have no doubt we lost to grimsby cos of arrogance.

but this cant be a thing…win a few games, get arrogant, play at 98%.

with one game a week we need to come out winning every 50:50 (or at least legit trying to) , scrambling for everything.

today's early 2nd half was abysmal. it shouldn't have been.

The first piece of transfer business should be to tell this lad goodbye

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 17,203 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

Jesus. That's shocking. Malacia should be ahead of him after that nevermind Dorgu.

Mazrouri looked rusty too when he came on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,599 ✭✭✭Caustic

Jesus I didn't realize it was that bad just stood pointing, not on his toes or trying to anticipate like he was out for a stroll in the park, he has been having a very poor season

Amad was fine today. He got out muscled for the first but that can happen. Dalot on the other hand was a disaster. He's where attacking football goes to die in this team and offers nothing in defense.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"
