Dublin Marathon/Half Marathon Transfer Thread

Hi Everyone,

Starting this thread for anyone is looking to transfer their entry from either the Half Marathon or the full marathon so to not clog up the Dublin Marathon Thread.

Having said that - has anyone got an entry for the Half Marathon they are looking to transfer? I went to sign up but realised it was sold out.

Is it more expensive to get an entry via a transfer rather than normal entry? Also, after the transfer window is it likely there will be spare entries to buy?

Just to note guys, anyone looking for a full Marathon ticket - anyone who got a refund, their tickets are going back on sale on the 22nd July at 12pm. Its on a first come first serve basis so set your alarms! Once those tickets are gone then its into transfer window

I think you just put in their email address and it'll send them the info of what they need to do

I hope this is the right place to ask this, having trouble finding an answer to this online.

A friend has offered to transfer his 2024 marathon entry to me because he can't run it this year. He wants to run it in 2025 but we're not sure if priority entry will be offered to me or him within the 3 day window afterwards in this scenario.

I imagine if it's offered to me I could just take it and transfer it back to him next year, but he's a little wary of losing out on next year by transferring this year to me, if anyone knows the answer? Thanks!

Most likely this preference will be scrapped next year and switching to Good For Age.

Go into your account on Eventmaster, find your marathon entry, click on "transfer" and put in the email address and name of the person you are transferring to, they will be contacted by email to accept the transfer. The onus is on you to get the payment from the other person and they will be charged either 20 or 30 euro for the pleasure.
