Hi any advice welcome , i have a bit of a dilemma im trading in a Kuga. Ford have just launched a mid life upgrade model and from what I can see its a different grill and an enhanced infotainment. The ford dealer also has an unregistered old model which he will sell me for 5k less. If i go for 5k less id be coming up 3 years for a reasonable cost but have just purchased an older model ,if i buy the new model the price doesnt seem good value but is the latest model . what would others do and would it make much difference trading in in around 3 years

    thanks

Interesting topic. I picked up an Octavia older model just as the newer version was launched. Got a good deal. Have since traded it and the dealer said I took a hit of €1000 on what I would have got on the newer model. Could be bull of course. Who knows. Have since bought a car which is shortly due a mid-life upgrade. Doh!

I'd strongly recommend keeping what you have as paying thousands of euro to get the same car just 3 years newer won't make up for a warranty and you will loose much more through depreciation. The newer model's changes are the front you mentioned and the new snappier infotainment with it going fully digital, bigger screens and less buttons.
