My mother in law's tongue plants are dropping and not trieving.

I changed the soil. I don't over water them.

Should I use some type of fertilizer

Photo might help - its very hard to kill a mother-in-law's tongue. I have a couple both thriving on neglect, they get watered maybe every 3 or 4 months, and live in quite a gloomy corner.

    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

The don’t like full on sun and only need re-potting every few years or less -but they still need some sun so if in full shade move them or in full south facing sun move them - can you check roots for any signs of rot ? We’ve had a lot of rain before last week

Interesting Freudian slip in the title ;-)

Many thanks for all the advice.

I will move them away from the window.

Should look something like this. East facing window to left of photo. Herself says a cup of water every 2 weeks in summer.

Its not got leaves that long because its not getting enough light?

Maybe buying a replacement plant is the realistic option.

Don't think it should look anything like that as the OP has a different variety. Yours is possibly Sansevieria trifasciata 'Hahnii" which is a compact form.

OP's is likely to be Sansevieria trifasciata 'Laurentii' which to be honest grows a lot like his is growing.

Can you put up a photo of the pot/soil as well?
what soil or potting mix did you use?

They don't appreciate being put in normal potting compost, I have mine in a mix with a lot of perlite/vermiculite and a little bit of compost

The pot looks very big for the size of the plant imo
