The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, used iMessage to communicate with sex workers and believed he had permanently erased these messages from his iPhone.

    I wonder why? 😂

You can't actually make sure your messages are deleted properly because nobody not even the software vendor knows all the hops involved in delivering a message. There will be dozens of places where messages are stored and forwarded, encrypted, decrypted, logged, dumped and so on.

I remember one member of the Irish security forces commenting that your best bet for secure message was to write it in pencil and give it to someone on a bicycle and he was not wrong! Mind you he was probably at the conference to key an eye on what we were doing…

We found out about an office affair because a message server malfunctioned and did a debug dump. The contents freeked the programmer out and she escalated so it eventually reached us.

Don't ever assume you are communicating in secret because the chances are not great.

How tragic. Imagine all the pathetic snooping that will be happening in many relationships now.

apparently this is a known issue with apple products. If you delete a message on one device, it's supposed to delete on all devices, but it doesn't always happen.

A comma would go a long way in the title.
