Buying a 15 Now vs Waiting for 16

    Hi folks,

    I have a 13 regular currently and have a big birthday coming up shortly and my wife wants to buy me a new phone. I'm going to go for a Plus model this time for the bigger screen and battery but don't need Pro features.

    Would I be mad to go for the 15 Plus now instead of waiting? I'm not fussed by the AI gimmicks but would I be missing out on anything else major?

    Appreciate any input!

    Hard to know. It is likely that both variants of the iPhone 16 will support Apple's AI initiatives and, while it is in its infancy now, may not be in 18 months time. As you seem to keep your phone for a while, I would think you should wait until October and get the newer phone. You will then be more future-proofed than going with the iPhone 15.

    The new 16's are expected to have bigger screens (you might not need the Plus size depending on your own preference) as well as more RAM.

    I would wait for 16 at this stage as AI is not a gimmick but a very real thing that will improve the phone when fully implemented . Will also hold value better for future resale.
