Yeah, glad you posted that, they are the celebrations of a foreign country

I couldn't care less about the celebrations of a foreign country

My comment said nothing like what you purport

So you can keep digging if you want to

You're fooling no one only yourself

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75,803 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

You couldn't care less, but others do.

Any chance of an answer to this?

How do you think, to give just one example, the mother or family of one of the nearly 40 children killed with impunity by a British soldier feels when she or they see the Taoiseach lay a wreath of poppies in honour of those who killed their child?

or do you only care when the Shinners do it? The core of the point I am making.
How do you propose this issue of commemoration is handled going forward? Selectively or do we have a adult conversation about it and try and arrive at a non contentious solution where all sides are allowed to remember their dead?

I've no intention of repeating myself, questions were asked by me and ignored with irrelevant deflection again and again and again

Presumably becsuse you had no answer

Why don't you just say that

You fool nobody here only yourself with this carry on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75,803 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

    Side stepped again. Noted.

*I am not trawling back to read proclamations and trying to decide if they are questions.
If you have a question ask it properly with a question mark.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,223 ✭✭✭pureza

Unashamedly repeatedly dictating how questions are posed is not a valid excuse for not answering them

You fool no body only yourself with that approach

Oh stop speaking for everyone and ask the questions you want answered.

A 'question' has a question mark, proclamations don't, been that way since I were at school.

Obviously these questions are not that important or you'd ask them again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,223 ✭✭✭pureza

Oh dear, the questions I asked aren't important to you, hence the rabid deflection from them,it would be just a whole lot easier to say that

This reminds me of Jeremy Paxman via Michael Howard on the BBC's newsnight many moons ago

Howard fooled no one but himself that night either when the questions were uncomfortable, just like you are doing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75,803 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

What questions have I not answered?

That’s a question you are running from, why?

I think I know why but let’s see if you sidestep AGAIN.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,223 ✭✭✭pureza

I posed questions to you upthread, you answered with deflective questions

You've spent dozens of posts ducking and diving for all to see

If you wish you can deal with the question(s) with your opinion,a simple acknowledgement of my opinion contained in the question(s) or just say you are not answering

Do you know I don't mind

All the proceeding nonsense do you know now is just you fooling nobody but yourself

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75,803 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

Sidestepped again with some preaching and a bit of speaking for everyone.

Won't badger you. If the question was of any value you'd simply ask it again as requested.

I see,so the latest dodge is you can't read the thread

Earlier,it was the lack of a question mark

    Then it was punctuation

After that or was it before,it's that I wont answer your irrelevant deflecting questions posted in response to mine

It would be easier without your posts upon posts of deflection spam in some silly effort at pretense,to just say you're not answering uncomfortable question(s) and leave it at that

But again as I said early in play, you are fooling no one but yourself with this carry on,it makes no odd's to me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75,803 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

    You forgot the one:
'I am simply not arsed going back and trying to decipher what is a question and what is a proclamation.'

If your questions had any importance you'd have re-asked them.

    You'd rather preach and lecture.

    Have a good evening.

    Well thats a wrap then

    Note to self

    Don't ask uncomfortable questions

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,835 ✭✭✭✭lawred2

Good to read they they've done that. Didn't know they had it in them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75,803 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

Don't proclaim…ask questions and on a serious forum, if asked for clarification, answer.

All you did when asked repeatedly to clarify what it was you asked was sidestep, deflect, lecture and preach.

And this from someone who has the cheek to criticise other users.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,223 ✭✭✭pureza

And the piece de resistance post

I guess it's not a wrap then,I am not going to repeat my question(s) as they are there in black and white at the start avoided by you with replies of irrelevant questions of your own

Let me be absolutely clear (again 🥱 ) ,your deflection questions were at the start and now are irrelevant, their only purpose to deflect from something you did not want to answer

I've not engaged in or with (your) deflection since, just called it out each time

I've been open about not answering your irelevant deflections from the get go

The fact I haven't and refuse to do so,I've made very clear and ergo by definition ain't deflecting anything

    You're only fooling yourself

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75,803 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

    Finally some clarity:

as they are there in black and white at the start

Far as I can see you 'started' out with this:

Show me one elected representative in this state that attends celebrations of the murder of people in NI by a foreign army and government, there are none

While I never made the claim I Answered, and gave you the example you asked for when I said Varadkar/Kenny etc were in the north laying poppy wreaths, I quoted the RBL saying what that signifies and asked you what the mother of a child killed/murdered by a British soldier on active service with impunity might think…given you were getting upset about living victims. You didn't even acknowledge that pain, showing just who you are, to be frank.
Then you ran off claiming I had avoided your questions. You also conveniently avoided me saying MLMD and others in SF have addressed the need for state sensitivity to such things if there is a UI or if SF are in government.

there's many questions you never ask when dealing with shinners

where did the money come from ?

where did the bodies go ?

whats your actual policy on ……. anything ?

whos in charge of the party ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75,803 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

😁 Because a certain group without any evidence have decided that the leader is not the leader you think this is a relevant question? The answer to your question is MLMD is the leader.

If there are questions around the 'money' who is not doing their job in this state? Revenue, CAB etc have no issues, so again your questions are answered. Is this a part of your 'international crime gang' submission? You haven't presented any evidence for that either.

The ICLVR have said that the IRA have satisfactorily engaged in finding bodies and point to it as an exemplary process.

BTW Those who handed the reins of power to FF and FG disappeared many more than the modern IRA who have NEVER been found . When does the statute of limitations run out on moral outrage about these things? 25 years after, 40 years after 60 years because here in the south it clearly does.

Mod: Right folks, with yet more posts on this getting reported, I'm wondering what the point of this thread actually is now as it really is 24 pages of bickering and low level baiting with the same points and defences seemingly being repeated over and over.

I'll give it a few hours for someone to justify why this should be left open - otherwise I'm closing it!

Edit: change of mind - I'm just after seeing the vile Gerry McCabe comments so we're done with this thread now if that is the level of debate some think is appropriate!
