European breakdown assistance questions

    My insurer does not do breakdown assistance for EU, so I looked where I could get something for summer. It seems that only local option is quite expensive and limited cover from AA. There are motor clubs in Germany that sell such cover with more coverage and lower prices, major ones being ADAC and ACE. I googled and ADAC used to sell to Irish drivers in past but stopped according to posts on boards. However ACE seems to still offer this option, as you can choose Ireland as address as purchasing.

    Has anyone had experience with ACE? Or maybe with other breakdown insurance from abroad?
