Chris Jordan hattrick ! USA collapsed to 115 all out ... 4 wickets in 1 over

Heroic Chris Jordan gets 3 rabbits out for a hat trick. 9 10 11 of the Mighty USA. Sky exaggerating as usual, you would think he got Sehwag Tendulkar and Dravid. Pakistan are complete rubbish to lose to them, must begone back to throwing games. Nasser Hussain is at it again, everything is amazing, constantly amazed Nasser

32 runs scored off the 9th over by England . USA have been awful to be fair. Like a net session for Buttler and Salt out there.

9.4 overs and England successfully chase the target…

Pure savagery by England. Tonight's game shoud be worth staying up for. One of the form teams against the hosts. South Africa should have enough but too close to call really

West Indies can't hit it off the square 73/2 off 11, way short of a decent total

wickets tumbling and some of those wickets lost to not very great bowling instead poor shot execution and selection

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,585 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

poor cricket, Andre frustrated and banging his bat, think he believed he had more time, no dive attempted but probably more cheesed off that Hosein called him through for the single.

That was their last hope, West Indies have been terrible

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,585 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

well a bit of a decent final over by WI but the South Africans look relaxed and composed and comfortable leaving the field.

WI need a few early wickets, otherwise this will get pretty uncompetitive pretty fast.

Only a fraction over a run a ball required from the South Africans….. wouldn’t be expecting them to lose from here.

disaster of a first over from Hosein , 12 conceded

But the second over from Russell brings 2 wickets….

And rain , hopefully a quick shower……but some amount of rain falling jeeez.

Battled well with the ball but South Africa got home by 3 wickets off the first ball of the final over

India 52-1 after five overs, Rohit Sharma has made 50 of them.

Thankfully they have speeded up since that tardy beginning, now 114/2 from 10 overs.

92 of them for Sharma off 39 balls.

Rohit out the Aussies needed that

Australia doing it easy. Travis Head India's nemesis again.

Australia on the way home if Afghanistan beat Bangladesh later

conservative enough start by Afghanistan with the bat, but they’ve lost no wickets after 8 overs, might as well go agressive , ultra agressive now. Bangladesh with just the single chance that saw them drop Ibrahim, tough chance though, was hit head height and like an absolute tracer bullet to shortish extra cover. Not enough boundaries being hit, silly when you’ve every wicket intact.

    4 singles off the 10th over 🤐

first innings complete but some serious rain coming down, more play looks seriously doubtful.

Square covered but the outfield has not been and has to have taken on a serious amount of water. The covers certainly have they’ll be ages clearing those.

Bangladesh 3 down after 3 overs chasing 116.

    Rain is back.

Afghanistan complete the semi final line up. Some achievement. Given SA propensity to mess up in semi finals AFG have a real shot at the final here.

Rashid Khan is some dude, he gave a great interview after it. If I was Litton Das I wouldn't be too happy with the rest of the team. He carried his bat for 54* and was the only one who looked dangerous. Exciting finish, Bangaladesh on the wrong end of it again

Very good side and no reason why they can’t beat SA.

India will win this though. Every base covered. Best bowler, batsmen and all rounders in the world.

I was going through the IPL squads for reference earlier and India could field 3 different entire teams all capable of winning this tournament. The strength in depth is insane

Fantastic result but marred by the carryon of Gulbadin Naib faking cramp when it was about to rain and they were just ahead on DLS. Time wasting goes on all the time in cricket but this was so blatant it was almost funny.

Funny but unsurprising. They are always at it.

something really surprising which will be weird if true..

“The defending champions are set to play against one of the pre-tournament favourites, India, on Thursday, June 27, in Guyana.

However, should the game be abandoned because of rain, England would crash out without even facing a ball due to a strange tournament rule.

This is because there is no reserve day scheduled for the second semi-final, which is set to start at 3:30pm in the UK.

There is a reserve day for the first semi-final between South Africa and Afghanistan, so if that match is postponed because of rain, they will get to play the following day.”

Guyana has lots of rain forecast, bizarre that one semi has a reserve day but not the other…the reason england will get ninjad is because India finished higher in the super 8’s. 1st vs 2nd for England

Imagine… a World Cup being partly scheduled in a part of the world where at this time of the year they have what’s known as the ‘rainy season’… 🤦🏻‍♂️

bowled out for 56. thats SA into a final eventually.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,192 ✭✭✭wazzzledazzle

That pitch really isn’t good enough for a WC semi final. That pitch would even for a test match be questionable

Anyway, South Africa have a great opportunity to win their first World Cup now. They would prefer England over India.

Turned on the semi final late and Afghanistan were 29/6. Headed back to bed.

Honestly, if that was a Test Match, there would have had to be a consultation on whether it would have been able to continue. Some deliveries bouncing over QDK head off a length, crazy movement off the pitch. Balls keeping low. A par score on that pitch last night would have been in the region of 80. And not i'm joking with that figure.

    Ridiculous
