Cracks in sidewall of tyre

Just confirming really that this tyre needs replacing? It's 7 years old and very low mileage. The other tyres are of the same age but all look fine. Would driving with low pressure have caused this? The tyre looks fine on the back side.

    TIA

Better to be safe than sorry. New tyre will cost you 80 quid for a cheap one - it'll still be better than that yoke.

They crack with age, best thing to do is replace it

The age alone is reason enough to change it, whatever mileage on it or even the cracks.

I think its just age. As said above, better to be safe than sorry. NCT will fail a car for tyres with a lot of cracks in the sidewall.

Nothing wrong with a 7 year old tyre as long as its in good condition

I know I'm stating the obvious, but tyres are your only contact with the road when you are driving. Change it. It's a very small price to pay especially if you think of the possible consequences of a blowout.

By any chance is it off a car that's always parked in the same spot? If the others are OK and only it's gone then it's probable that one wheel was exposed to far more sunlight than the others.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

It's often parked in the same spot alright but I'd say both tyres on that side would have been equally affected by the sun. Thanks...
