What's the story with crossing the border in arizona or texas on foot into Mexico for a few hours? Is there a problem getting back in to the US? Anyone here done it recently?

I crossed the border from the U.S into Canada and back at the rainbow bridge at Niagra recently and was in Canada just for a few hours and had no problem re entering the U.S by foot on the way back

Its the same formality as at the airport border

    If that helps

MY question would be why? The return crossing (at Tijuana) can be up to 4 hours and that's for US citizens.

crossed from El Paso to Juarez a few years ago. The US border guards were inquiring as to why and advised us to be careful over there but no issues.
