hi all, any help appreciated, my cocker constantly suffers from his ears, shaking head. We clean them and try to have his ears short as possible. He has had medication etc too.. any tips or over the counter drops anyone knows which work? Thanks

Probably ear mites. I have a beagle/pointer cross who suffers and was constantly getting them and I was fed up with trips to the vets plus I wanted to try to prevent it for his sake as much as mine!!

I found some home remedy's - To clear it I used the diluted Apple Cider Vinegar method daily (link below) until cotton wool comes out clean. To try to prevent it once clean I give a clean weekly and if I notice any black spots appearing on the cotton buds I increase it back to daily until they are coming out clean again. It keeps it under control and he is much happier. Just be gentle and maybe the first few times give him a treat afterwards until it becomes routine.

If it is ear mites, try these. Worked for us. But make sure you know what's wrong with his ears before you try to treat it at home. Ear mites problem is very easy to identify, Google it up.
