just heard of the passing of Alf McCarthy. Always appreciated his Late Date presentation over the years. A very fine presenter, who had an unbelievable connection with the “ Late Date Family”.
on several occasions I emailed him with comments / requests, and he nearly always obliged. When he reached 65 he had to step down - despite the huge popularity of the programme- just crazy.

R.I.P. ALF - and thank you one last time.
