Reprogram hearing aids

I bought new hearing aids and I want to "recycle" the old ones by giving them to my father. I bought them from Specsavers, but they want 250 EUR to do this! Is there any cheaper solution to have them adapted to my father's hearing loss?

    Thanks!

It depends on what brand they are underneath the specsavers cover, and whether they have been locked.

Specsavers Advanced 635, I don't think they were locked

Blackberry Hearing charge €150, but they only deal with Widex and Unitron as far as I remember.

This is an old phonak aid, branded by Specsavers. It has its own software, so I fear only Specsavers can do it. Does anyone knows an alternative? Thanks!
