Ss the title suggests how often should I water vegetables in a polytunnel. Have a sprinkler system in and have it timed to come on for 15 mins morning and evening. Is this too much ?

some plants need more water than others , but a good rule of thumb is when the leave curl or die then you should have watered it the day before (slight jest, but ….)

I had a poly for years … didnt use it to full potential :-( … and they do need a lot of watering. They get none from rain and they are very warm (so moisture evaporates). So, imho, your routine is good…

BTW, do you have raised beds in the poly? These will dry out faster than beds on the ground. Check water is penetrating to the roots by checking depth with a trowel (not too close to the plant).

    get a drip feed system

sprinkler system puts too much humidity into the polytunnel
