Anyone know why this was cancelled over the weekend and will the other events be cancelled as well?

No idea why it was cancelled except from the email it was clear it was completely outside Gaelforce's control and they seemed to have been caught by surprise themselves. My guess would be it was due to the excessive rain we had the last few weeks. When I ran it last year, the climb up the side of the mountain was a mud bath and towards the top, I was knee deep in mud and water so it could very well have been deemed unsafe this time around. That's just me speculating though.

I have a huge amount of sympathy for them as it must cost a lot of money to put one of these events on. I'd fully expect Bray and Howth to go ahead.

You'd think they would have said that if it was course conditions though….
